Aluminum Alloy Die Casting Classification

Aluminum die cast castings can be manufactured as aluminum die casting auto part, aluminum die-casting automotive engine part, aluminum die-casting engine cylinder, aluminum die-casting, gasoline engine cylinder head, aluminum die-casting valve rocker, aluminum die-casting valve bearing, aluminum die-casting power accessory, aluminum die-casting motor cover, aluminum die-casting housing, aluminum die-casting pump shell, aluminum die-casting construction accessories, aluminum die-casting decorative part, aluminum die-casting wheel.

Stainless steel shots are widely used for the surface treatment of non-ferrous metal die castings, gravity die castings, aluminum profile in auto parts, machinery manufacturing, hardware and valve industries. They are mainly applied to surface treatments of scale, burrs on edges, roughening, flattening and rust. Stainless steel shot is also known as stainless steel cut wire shot, and made by drawing, cutting and other processes. It looks bright, rust-free, bead-like( cut pill, cylindrical-shaped). The stainless steel shot is moderately hard and has pure ingredients and large coverage. Without the shortcomings of pore or heterotype like other cast steel shots, the stainless steel shot has a longer service life. The performance of the stainless steel shot can completely replace the imported one, with the advantages of being lower-priced and cost-effective. The surface of the castings will be smooth and clean without any rust after stainless steel shot treatment. It is environmental-friendly since there is no need to have pickling treatment for it.

Process flow
There are four foundation technologies for aluminum die casting industry, which are annealing, normalizing, quenching and tempering. These four processes are known as "four fire" in die casting technology. Quenching and tempering are closely related in die casting process, which are indispensable to each other.

What is known to us all is that annealing is to warm the workpiece. When it is heated to the appropriate temperature, we need to cool die casts slowly according to different materials. Normalizing is to heat the workpiece to appropriate temperature and then cool the workpiece in the air, which is mainly used for improving the cutting function of the material and the end die casting for parts with low requirements. Quenching is to heat the workpiece and preserve its heat, then cool the workpiece in water or other quenching medium like inorganic salt solution. After this process, the finished steel castings will be hardened and brittle at the same time.  In order to reduce brittleness of steel castings, you can put the steel castings that was quenched at certain temperature under 650 degree but higher than room temperature and then cool them, which is known as tempering.

The aluminum material that is used for aluminum die casting and aluminum alloy have good flowability and plasticity, so they can be made into a variety of die castings with complex shapes and processes. Die castings made of aluminum alloy and metal aluminum have relatively high accuracy and excellent surface finish, which greatly reduces the machining of castings and labor intensity, as well as saves electricity and metal materials. Because of its high intrinsic and external quality, aluminum die casting is widely used in automobile manufacturing, internal combustion engine manufacturing, motorcycle manufacturing, motor manufacturing, transmission machinery manufacturing, precision instrument, landscaping, power construction industries, and becomes the new favorite of the die casting industry.
